Molecular Docking studies and ADMET properties of Compounds from Physalis minima L. Leaves, Root and Fruit.

Abstract

Physalis minima L. is an important medicinal plant of Indian System of Medicine. The Physalis minima L. plant parts which are; leaves, root and fruit have been found to be useful in the treatment of cancer. The aim of our study was to find drug target for lung adenocarcinoma using these plant parts. Lung cancer is the most common and fatal disease in the world. The major activity of phytochemicals from plant parts is crucial in finding potential new drug molecules for therapeutic use. Docking experiments are carried out between biocompounds from leaves, roots and fruits respectively with the target protein [human Mms2/Ubc13 (4ONM)] using Accelry's Discovery Studio 4.0. The result consists of one compound from each plant part which is considered as the lead due to its desirable interaction with the target protein.
